Partnerships 4 Change

  • Collaboration with government, development finance institutions, private sector, academia and NGOs to pool resources, expertise, and networks for more scaled and significant impacts and ecidence
  • Corporate Partnerships: Engage with businesses willing to invest in sustainable initiatives, ensuring mutual economic and ecological benefits.
  • Propagate pioneering models and approaches: selected themes in specific geographies – ranging from people-nature conservation models, social-mental health, anticipatory disaster responses and infrastructure, resilient value chains, circular economy, waste management, innovative tech introductions etc. through research, private sector and public partnerships. Two immediate ones are:

       a. Innovative Enterprises

  • Seed and support innovative future-ready aspirational home based Small and Medium Enterprises and high-income migration-based employment opportunities for the youth.
  • Women’s Empowerment Initiatives: Develop supply chains, support bank linkages, entrepreneurship and leadership training for SHE Marts (Self Help Enterprise Marts) along the national highways. SHE Marts are community-owned, women-run, and focused on marketing products made by Self-Help Groups (SHGs).

      b. Eco-Tourism

  • To boost spiritual and ecologically sensitive tourism, HITA will with partners to develop eco-tourism initiatives, conservation of local arts and handicrafts, Buddhist monasteries and circuits (leveraging the newly launched centrally funded initiative), other cultural sites, improving connectivity, establishing interpretation centres etc. across the Himalayan region.
